Please support the Eris Arrestees by donating to our legal fund! Our lovely legal team has agreed to represent all of us together for a very low fee... but it's still five figures. Won't you help keep us out of jail?

What Happened?

On the Sunday before Mardi Gras 2011, the seventh annual New Orleans Krewe of Eris Parade was attacked by the Fifth District of the New Orleans Police Department. We were beaten, tazed, pepper-sprayed, incarcerated and falsely charged. Our brass band instruments were deliberately smashed; some of us were beaten so badly we were hospitalized. The twelve of us who were arrested have assembled a legal team and are seeking dismissal of the absurd criminal charges NOPD has leveled against us.
